The EM® Ceramics are a special type of clay pipe containing effective microorganisms 
(brand name referring to a family of microbial-based products), and fired at a very high 
temperature. The Ceramics emit far infrared rays which are highly compatible with human 
and animal tissue. The rays penetrate the tissue, activating cells, increasing circulation, 
breaking up cell clusters, improving overall body function … all the while creating an 
environment that ticks and fleas cannot thrive in. There are no contraindications at this 
time – no negatives! In simple terms, the rays create an environment that ticks and fleas 
will avoid. The beads do expire or wear out over time. Each metabolism is different, and 
the beads will work longer for some than others. Get to know your geographic area and 
time the bead activation accordingly. If you have ticks in your area in early spring, 
products should be put on earlier in the year. If ticks are more prevalent in the fall in 
your area, perhaps mid-summer is better timing to begin. If the ticks are active 
nearly all year with the exception of the coldest months (late December to February), we suggest moving to annual use … 1 product started in February, and then a new one in July.
NOTE:  Do not use soap on the beads, do not put them in salt water or pool water.  Charge the beads 6-8 times a year by washing the collar with warm water and an old toothbrush then put it in the sun to dry.  The sun will recharge the beads.
